First names for 2018 revealed

With tickets now on sale we’re proud to announce the first names set to perform at Cambridge Folk Festival 2018. Headliners include double Grammy-Award winner John Prine, iconic singer-songwriter Patti Smith and in an exclusive UK Festival appearance, Janis Ian.

Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Member and four time Grammy-Award winner Rosanne Cash will perform alongside her band and we also welcome Folk favourite Kate Rusby & Friends. Beth Nielsen Chapman, Eliza Carthy & the Wayward Band plus blues legend Eric Bibb are also on the bill for 2018.

Desert blues band Songhoy Blues bring their Hip hop and R & B inspired music to the Festival and Alabama based St. Paul & the Broken Bones provide the a unique southern soul sound.

Other artists and bands who are confirmed to appear are Elephant Sessions, John Smith, Pierce Brothers, Irish Mythen, Darlingside, Tamikrest, The Shee, Peatbog Faeries, John Moreland, Gordie Mackeeman and His Rhythm Boys, Damien O’Kane and Ron Block, The East Pointers, Darren Eedens & The Slim Pickin’s and The National Youth Folk Ensemble.
