A Greener Festival Award winner

We are thrilled to reveal that we have won an 'Outstanding' award at the A Greener Festival Awards for the 2018 Folk Festival. It was an honour to receive this award and great that the hard work of the festival team to reduce our carbon footprint and become more harmonious with nature was recognised.

Some of the ways in which we have become more eco-friendly over the last few years includes banning plastic straws and encouraging festival goers to bring a refillable water bottle with them and to top them up at the refill stations throughout the Festival arena. We also changed things like the lighting on the festival stages to LED lights and we constantly monitor energy usage on site.

This is just a tiny snippet of what we, as a festival, have done to help the environment, as you can probably guess we’re very proud of our eco work and we’re committed to doing even more to help reduce our carbon footprint!
